A Worthy Cause - Stratefic fundraising plan

Situation:
Facing increasing demands for funds and slowly diminishing sources, a non-profit organization wanted to look at fundraising to diversify their funding sources. The organization had never done traditional "fundraising" and needed help finding those tools and target markets that would fit with their particular situation.

Our approach:
We developed a strategic fundraising plan for this organization. Our approach started with a review of the organization's history, its current operations and financial condition, and its strengths and weaknesses with regard to fundraising. Next, we examined the macro trends and characteristics of fundraising in Canada and Alberta. We then suggested a number of goals and strategic criteria for this organization's fundraising efforts and proceeded to examine a number of potential target markets and fundraising tools. The result was a 5-year strategic plan that outlined the fundraising strategy and the specific time-related details of implementing the plan.
